  • Resume & User Content: Professional information you voluntarily enter, including work history, education, skills, contact details, and resume text.
  • Browser Extension Data: When using our Chrome Extension, we collect:
    • Page Content: The text of job descriptions from supported job boards (such as LinkedIn and Indeed) that you are actively viewing. We only access this text when you explicitly interact with the extension to "Scan" a job.
    • Authentication Cookies: We access specific cookies from resumerail.com to synchronize your login state between the website and the extension, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Usage & Analytics Data: Aggregated data such as features used, session duration, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve the Service.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and IP address for security, debugging, and fraud prevention.

  • Provide and maintain ResumeRail services
  • Generate AI-assisted resume content: Specifically, we use the job description text collected via the extension to tailor your resume to match specific job requirements.
